Happy Monday!!!!
I so couldn’t wait to share (ok gloat) about my Valentine’s Day weekend along with what I decided to do for Wes’ Class Treats -
I Posted about my top Valentine Pins a few weeks ago:
Here is what we ended up choosing:
I’m not going to lie. A bit time consuming.
But they are OH so cute!
FYI – If you make these for your kiddo’s class next year- Plan on taking them to school yourself. There was no way my 5 year old was going to carry these on the bus.
I thought he was going to biff it trying to get on the bus with his Valentine’s Box – let alone 22 of these little buggers.
On Thursday I found myself driving to West… all by myself…to a beautiful destination…
Greg had attempted to surprise me (but nothing gets past my nosey self) but he gave me a night away at the
beautiful and elegant Hotel Julien in historical district of downtown Dubuque IA.
Seriously, this man knows how to spoil a woman. Giving me a night away is one thing – but in this beautiful place… come on…
& Not only did he give me a night to myself in this elegant room…
But…
I awoke to a spa retreat at Potosa Spa located inside of the Hotel.
I ordered room service at 8 AM And then headed down to the spa for:
60 Min Facial
60 Min Massage
60 Min Pedicure
I know… you’re all green with envy. It’s okay, if I were reading something similar about one of you - I would be too.
Just keep in mind, this is NOT a regular occurrence. However, I am certainly not complaining, that’s for sure!
& Please Also Remember though, I’ve started this series: Love Languages & My husband’s love language is Gifts.
So… I guess he loves me. Who would have thought?! Crazy guy!
I just have to say, the hotel was beautiful, the food was incredible and the staff over and above. If you ever get a chance to stay – Do it.
The spa was phenomenal. If you ever need a DEEP TISSUE Massage -
(& I mean deep – like make you rethink your existance on earth deep) Ask for Mickey at Potosa Spa
Weather you spent your Valentine’s Day by yourself, with someone you love, with a box of chocolates or just with the remote – I hope you had a fabulous Valentine’s Day!
Because, it doesn’t matter how big or how small a gift, a service, a touch, some time or a word. The love behind it is what counts.
And, if it makes you feel better: The stinker keeps joking with me that he should be “good” or cleared for another 8 years…. ha ha… NOT!
